Not sure what you are asking but all pregnancy tests you can buy measure hcg. Most will have one line for control and 2 lines if pregnant

I’ve tried to delete the thread because I didn’t make sense but I can’t seem to delete it, sorry but I was trying to say I took a pregnancy test and it came up with 2 lines but one was very faint. Not sure if it is a false positive or not as I have heard bad reviews about the strip tests I took a Asda home brand and it was negative so I’m not sure

Ah okay @Caitlined1998! Not all tests have the same sensitivity, so it might just be the negative one was a higher threshold. False positives within the time limits are quite rare

In general I'd recommend you test again with a FRER using first morning wee when you can!

Clear blue instructions straight a second line regardless of how faint/ strong Indicates pregnancy. And as someone else has mentioned not all tests are as sensitive. Test again in the mor in with fmu or get yourself some early reaction tests. I've just used clearblue early response. Or there are the first response early ones too, I think they're cheaper aswell

Done this 4 days before im due my period early pregnancy test am I pregnant line Is quite faint im 42 and stressing 🙈 itl be a blessing of course xx

@Mammy2021 definitely pregnant, congrats! No way is 42 too old, although you will be consultant led most likely, which just means they'll keep a closer eye on you and baby

Hi 😊 Ive just taken a test after two days of spotting and other symptoms. There is no lune but blue splodges in the first window and a line in the control window. Is this just a dye run or shall i class this as negative?

Hi @AnnaLouT what was your final result? I had some faint lines and also negative I’m very confused too as my morning ones are faint line and others negative , I did a test while my coil was in and it was faint then doctor removed my coil and two weeks later I feel weird and pregnant after taking multiple tests medisure are coming faint in the morning. I’m trying to wait another week n see what is happening. Did you re test? Xx
