When does the sickness end?!

I have a 3 year old and don't remember being this sick with her. I wouldn't mind if it was just morning sickness but its literally all day. The only time I'm not feeling dreadful is when I'm asleep 😭

I'm wearing sickness travel bands and tried ginger etc etc nothing seems to be working.

Any other advice?

Get thee to the dr! I had sickness all the way through with both. Second time round i got medication to help and it did make a difference.

Mine calmed down a lot at around 17 weeks.

CocoPark · 23/01/2021 18:35

About 18 weeks for me. Sympathies, as it's awful.

Have you tried soft mints? Great for temporary relief.

Reeva1988 · 23/01/2021 18:55

16/17 weeks for me x

ThickThighsSaveLives · 23/01/2021 19:00

How many weeks are you? Mine peaked at about 8-9 weeks and was gone by 11. Week 9 I felt like I couldn't do or eat anything. It was awful. Think I was lucky to lose it so early, hopefully you are too!

Nat4392 · 23/01/2021 19:13

I had mine from 6 weeks to around 16/17 weeks, it was utterly awful!

cptartapp · 23/01/2021 19:15

Four months with DC1. Still throwing up at nine months with DC2. I used to wake up at 2am and go to the bathroom to be sick. I weighed less towards the end of that pregnancy than at the beginning. Hideous time. I used to make myself sleep to escape the constant feeling of being poisoned.

MadeForThis · 23/01/2021 19:22

I was never actually sick but felt queasy all day. Eating plain carbs helped. Started at week 5 and ended week 14 both times. And polo mints.

Youvegotafriendinme · 23/01/2021 19:28

With DS it was about 17-18 weeks but it wasn’t vomiting, it was constant nausea and smell and food aversions and dry heaving. The smell and food aversions carried on until I had him. With this pregnancy I had vomiting and diarrhoea until 12/13 weeks.
I honestly think the first was worse

TTCPLEASE · 23/01/2021 22:53

18 weeks ish it stopped but had the odd spout now and then, anti sickness tabs gave me vertigo and hallucinations so didn't work unfortunately, taking my folic acid also made it 1000 times worse 🤮🤮 only thing that helped was permanently staying cold hope it eases soon OP

ThickThighsSaveLives · 24/01/2021 12:48

I'm currently 7+3 so looks like i have a long road ahead lol. Thanks everyone, just keep telling myself it will be worth it and soldier on 💪🏼

I had it terrible - threw up all day long every day, couldn’t keep a thing down! Salt and vinegar crisps was the only thing that could keep it under control!

It started to ease around 11-12 weeks, in that it was no longer every day but every few days and then it gradually stopped!
