Positive test, followed by 2 negatives! Help....

So, I took a clear blue test today and it confirmed pregnant 1-2 weeks but then my partner wanted me to do another test just to be sure which came back negative (was a cheap amazon stick) so he went to the shop and bought another pack of tests, which also came back negative. I've got 1 left to try again in the morning but does anyone have any advice? I was so happy this afternoon and now I'm worried it was a false positive 😒

It's unlikely to be a false positive. Different tests have different levels of HCG that they detect, so the clearblue test was probably more sensitive than the second and third ones you did. Or your urine may have been more diluted by water for the other tests.

False positives are pretty rare, and a positive test means you had HCG in your urine, which means you're pregnant. I'd recommend testing again tomorrow to be sure. Congratulations!

@sarahb083 ohh I hope you're right. My partners going to the supermarket tomorrow so he will pick up another clear blue just to be sure but will use a wee cheapy in the morning and see what it says. Thank you ❤

I had this! I had a strong positive then a a couple negatives... then positives again! Well I'm 37 weeks pregnant right now so there you go lol.

@fireme yes, done one on Saturday morning and confirmed pregnant 😁 midwife and scan appts booked for March, 8 weeks feels like a lifetime away.
