How many weeks pregnant

Hello,

Just looking for some advice/ or has anybody else been in this situation.
I've had irregular periods since coming off the pill and my last proper period was 20th Nov. I had dark brown spotting for few days from 26th Dec.

I did a pregnancy test a couple of days ago which was positive. I did a clear blue which said 2-3 weeks.

I rang the doctors as I wanted to check if the test meant I'm 2-3 or if we work it back from my last period. She said I probably conceived in January so call back for a scan at 12 weeks. However I am still non the wiser of how far pregnant I am! Am I 2-3 weeks or should I count the brown spotting as the first day of my last period so therefore I'm 4 weeks?

2-3 weeks means 4-5 weeks (2-3 weeks since conception). So you’re probably 4-5 weeks, maybe your spotting was a kind of period.

Best thing would be to go by LMP. You can put the date of your last period into a due date calculator on google and it will tell you how far gone you are. As @MissBPotter says. You are likely 4-5 weeks pregnant so I would go by the November date rather than the December spotting.

Sorry I meant go by the December date rather than the November date! November date would make you like 8-9 weeks
