Hi all can anyone help ASAP as I’m really worried I have lost my mucus plug today so thought I’d check my cervix and my cervix is really really soft I’m only 20 weeks pregnant?? Anyone had anything similar this is my first baby 👶

Mucus plug can regrow. When it all goes it's probably a similar volume to your fist. Like a massive ball of snot.

If worried, contact midwife.

Losing your whole plug doesn't always mean labour imminent either, even at the end of pregnancy. It can be a couple weeks.

Your plug can regrow but it’s not the amount of your fist. It doesn’t mean labour is near though. I’d be more concerned that your cervix is soft. I’m 39 weeks and mine is too high and back to even reach still. At 20 weeks I wouldn’t have thought it should be reachable and soft. Give your midwife a ring, they may wish to see you. Better to be safe

Mine was a similar size to clenched fist with my daughter. What I'm saying it's that it is loads more than you expect.
