Hi,

I'm going on maternity soon. I'm an LSA.

Does anyone know if as school staff your holiday entitlement is paid to you. This is the statuary holiday accruement.

Thanks

You can ‘return to work’ during school holidays and be paid in full by taking Shared Parental Leave. Your partner does not have to take the leave and can continue to work. Then, when the school holiday is over and the term recommences, you take your Shared Parental Leave which is paid at the same rate as maternity pay (£140 a week I think.) This website explains better than I could and it takes a while to get your head around: teachersspl.wixsite.com/splforteachers/how-it-works
