TMI Constipation question 33 weeks

Probably TMI
I’ve been constipated throughout most of my pregnancy at least since going into the second trimester.
For the last 10 days I’ve been going to the bathroom about 4 times a day. Don’t think it’s a bug, not feeling unwell other than a few bouts of feeling a bit lightheaded and dizzy during the day. Midwife put this down to hormone changes.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this at this stage as I know your body has “a clear out” up to 2 weeks before baby arrives?!

If you've been abit loose the dizziness could be down to dehydration. Up your plain water intake. You can try increasing fibre intake too to slow digestion, things like fybogel are safe to use. It could help ease symptoms but if thing do not improve I'd call the midwife again.
You're right about the 'clear out close to labor, that one's a delight.

Thank you, I’ve not had it with my first 2 but sounds a treat.
I’m very conscious about how much water I drink anyway and always make sure I have about 2.5 litres per day. I’ll try the fybogel thank you, I’ve not made any changes to my diet in the last 2 weeks so assumed it was probably just down to hormonal increase as I used to have the same changes around the time of the month.
I’ll keep an eye and if it’s not better by after weekend then I’ll give them a call x
