hello ashmum,
i got an early scan to confirm my dates as i had no idea when my last period was - and the scan gave them a time of 7 weeks. i am in basingstoke at the north hants hospital. maybe if you say to your midwife you are concerned then she will arrange for a scan?

Thanks for that JBR,

I haven't made an app with my mw yet - didn't want to tempt fate! Will do so on Monday, but it will probably be a few weeks before I get one, as she's usually pretty busy.

In the past, I'd always waited till around 12 weeks before getting an app, but then the 12 weeks scan's weren't offered in normal circumstances (this will hopefully be baby #4 - I've already got DD 6yrs, DD 4yrs & DD 2yrs!)

Cheers,
Ash

JBR-Thats exactly where I live in Bracknell-Im just across the road from Waitrose.

I was at RBH last week for 20 week scan and everything was well, unlike big sister we managed to get all the measurements first time round

Hi ashmum, RBH now do a scan at 10weeks and my surgery do their booking in appt with midwife at 8 weeks

Hi Dodo - I've been to the St. George's Wing a couple of times - once for my booking appointment, which was chatty and relaxed and the midwife was great - and once to check on the baby's heartbeat because I'm a bit paranoid! The midwives there are brilliant. I haven't been on the tour yet, but it's one of the best midwife-led units in the South-East, apparently, despite being under threat of closure... People I know who gave birth or were transfered there said it was wonderful and totally unlike going to a hospital.
