Swollen fingers

So my fingers are swollen, to the point my husband had to pull my rings off while they hurt and put soap underneath, I'm only 19 weeks, do I need to worry?

I think you need to ring Triage, this is written on the front of my notes booklet to call them if you get swelling.

Some swelling is nothing to worry about but if it persists they will want you to get checked over. Ring your midwife for advise.
I find I can get swelling of the hands when I'm quite warm so 1st thing in the morning after being under the duvet my rings can be tight but it eases off again throughout the day.

@reservoircats mine only says severe swelling to ring hospital

I haven't noticed to before, it was only this morning I said to my husband my fingers feel swollen, and that my rings wouldn't come off

I’d say that warrants a call to midwife/triage. Swelling can be a sign of preeclampsia - not likely at this stage of pregnancy, but still worth being careful.

I think I will give the community midwife line a call, just to be on safe side

You need to get your blood pressure checked too, I had this and mine was high.

yoigh · 21/01/2021 12:36

@ohsuzannah did you have it this early? This is my second pregnancy, last time I had low blood pressure the whole way through

I’m 25 weeks tomorrow and have a this. My engagement ring wouldn’t fit from about 19/20 weeks, so I put a bigger size ring on, & now that one is too small.
I had my 25 week appointment today and this didn’t seem too concerned after my stats came back fine. The only issue was my heart rate was too high, so I need a blood test to check my thyroid, though not sure if that could be connected, or if I’m just carrying a lot of water

I had to remove my ring at about 14 weeks. Infact here's a pic I took today. I'm nearly 40 weeks. Can't even get it past my knuckle. It's been like that for a good 4 months.
