Hi,

this is my first pregnancy (6 weeks) and today I noticed light pink after I had a wee, few hours later it’s more of a heavier red, only when I wipe though not on my underwear! Getting so anxious and worried😣 I have a private scan booked next week.

Has anyone had similar and turned out to be ok?

Thanks

hello,

went through a similar situation, i was 5 weeks at the time.. my midwife gave me bed rest for a week, by the second day of the pinkish wipe, it stopped, i am now 16 weeks. have you talked to the midwife yet?

MintGreenLife · 20/01/2021 09:39

@Firstimehere I had bleeding at 10 weeks and it turned out I had a polyp on my cervix. I'm now 12 weeks and haven't had any bleeding for a week. There can be all sorts of reasons for it, and implantation bleeding can carry on until 6 weeks I believe. If you don't have a midwife yet maybe call your GP?

I've only had red bleeds with my miscarriages.
If it gets heavier, has clots and accompanied by pain it may be bad news. Ring your GP, they may be able to get you an appointment with epau (wait times can be long atm). Good luck

If you've got pain you should have a scan to rule out ectopic. Hope it's ok

@FemaleLady I haven’t spoken to my midwife yet, we have an appointment next week, I’m not sure if I should wait until then before I mention it or maybe call my GP. Glad it stopped for you, hope all goes well with your pregnancy!

@MintGreenLife yeah I think I need to ring my GP as I’ve not met my midwife yet, we have an appointment next week. Thanks for your reply, definitely given me a bit of hope.

@Chelyanne I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriages. It’s gone lighter this morning instead of heavier which is positive I suppose.

@happylittlechick I have a private scan booked next Wednesday, do you think I should try to move it forward maybe? Or just wait? The bleeding has gone lighter this morning.

Your gp might get you an appointment today/tomorrow at your local epau or you can sometimes self refer.

So sorry you're going through this. I had exactly the same at 6 weeks just before Christmas. Unfortunately for me it just continued and I tested negative about 10 days after it started. Fingers crossed for a different outcome for you.

@funday I’m really sorry to hear about what happened to you. I’ve called the local maternity services and just waiting for a midwife to get back to me. It’s just horrible not knowing what’s going on.
