Painful Ovulation - Three Days Now!

Hey ladies,

I had a miscarriage and d&c two months ago. I've had one cycle since then, very painful too.
I took an opk two days ago and showed I'm ovulating, a little earlier than I expected. Since then, I've had the absolute worst cramps, 'stitch' feeling on my left side as well as general period type cramps. Also bad lower back pain.
I'm a little worried as it's been almost three days of this pain and nervous it could be something more serious. I'm wondering if maybe this is the first time I've ovulated since the miscarriage and my body is having a hard time or there's some scar tissue. Has anyone else had this?
My hubby and I are in the middle of moving so I don't have a GP or anything and really don't want to have to go to Urgent Care.
Any help/stories appreciated!

Hi! I haven't experienced this exactly (not for the same duration) but the cycle before the cycle in which I conceived my baby (I'm nearly 24 weeks). I had such an incredibly painful ovulation, I couldn't even sit down and it kept making me gasp involuntarily! Strange for me because I have a pretty high pain tolerance. Had it gone on for three days I may have called 111 to get some advice, that could be an option for you, they'll be able to tell you if you should go to urgent care or not.

If you experience any other severe things such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness etc, absolutely call for advice and consider being ready to be told to go to a&e (not trying to be scary, just want you to be safe). Sometimes ovaries can get twisted by a cyst and that can be very urgent.

I'll add, I also had a miscarriage before the cycle with the offending ovulation pain- very early loss no meds or d&c required.

@ThisMammaCat I have a pretty high pain tolerance too which is why I got worried. It is coming and going though, with the back pain being the most constant. I'm trying not to worry too much and just applying heat etc.

Thank you for replying, hoping it's just my body having a particularly painful time getting back to normal after the miscarriage. Planning on heading to UC if it doesn't let up :)

Congrats on your baby too :)

Thank you.

How are you feeling? Are you still in pain? Fingers crossed things have calmed down Flowers
