Hi Girls
New to mumsnet but wanted to vent some misery and check I'm not alone!! Had to redo my birth manicure and pedicure today as gone 5 days over and needed to relieve boredom! Toenails were v difficult... Anyway I keep getting real stabbing crampy pains butin my bladder and bottom - particularly after going to the loo. Had urine checked and all clear so no bladder infection. I'm assuming this is due to pressure from weight of baby Bean but wondered if anyone else is suffering anything similar?
Thanks, Dets x

by my lmp my baby was 5weeks overdue 1week 1day by the scans with two failed sweeps get all the sleep you can eat your dinners hot cause there will be non of that once you have a newborn my dd timed her wanting a feed with me eating needing toilet sleeping,
it could be braxton hicks or baby getting into position which is all good news as it means it wont be too long now

Hi detsy, welcome to mumsnet!

I really sympathise, I went five days over with my baby 12 weeks ago, and it's absolutely HORRIBLE! When I went to the loo for a wee, I had loads of pressure on my bladder, and when I'd finished weeing I swear I felt his head bump down into my pelvis properly again, the weirdest sensation!

The whole area was painful and uncomfortable, getting up, sitting down, all a complete er....pain in the arse. heh! But comepletely normal, according to the midwives.

Anyway, it's all over so suddenly and after the few days of achy soreness you will feel SO much better physically- and you won't notice those days because you'll be too busy staring at your newborn!!

I'm quite envious actually, my little one is still fairly little, but there's nothing as special and gorgeous as a newborn. Do you know what you're expecting?

hallo, thanks for your reply! Glad I'm not abnormal as my midwife doesn't seem to know what this pain is...(mind you she is the most useless midwife you could ever chance to meet) So 5 days now and counting, we don't know what we're having so will be a surprise. Am very excited and guess just being impatient

Guess that something will have to have happened by the 7/11 as that will be 14 days over hey ho!

Had lots of Braxtons last night but they disappeared by mid morning.

I'll try to be patient and stay occupied - have fun with your little sproglet
x
