Social services second baby

Hello,

So I called the police on my ex partner because he was sat outside my house and refusing to leave, I had asked him to leave as we was having an argument and it was best considering my son was here. This caused an automatic referral to social services for domestic violence.
Social services have done their assessment and said they are completely happy my son is not at risk and the case is closed.

I have just found out I am pregnant, will the midwives have to refer me to social services? There was no actual involvement just an assessment?
And also, if they are involved what will happen?

Thank you in advance for reading this and helping if you can.

They will ask you if you have current involvement with SC and if there is any history of domestic abuse. I would tell them about all this but as the case is closed it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are sure there will be no ongoing problems with your ex then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Personally I wouldn't mention it as it's no longer relevant. A midwife is a HCP and is there to help you in case there are currently issues but she's not entitled to know about every private detail of your life.

Actually I disagree, you should be open and honest with them. It’s worse when people lie and then things start to come out the woodwork. They will ask you about domestic abuse as their priority is keeping you and your children safe.
