Hi ladies,

So on Friday at 15dpo I tested postive on a CB digital. Was unplanned but we were both super excited. Going by my LMP I am 4+6 today. However the last 2 days I have been spotting lightly, yesterday it was light pink with a tiny brownish stringy bit(sorry TMI). Today it's just a little brown and only when I wipe. However I called the EPU yesterday as I have previously had a MC and PUL, they've booked me in for a scan on the 3rd feb and told me to test every couple of days to make sure I'm still getting positives. I took a test yesterday after noon and again this morning with FMU, today's test is significantly lighter 😔. What are peoples thoughts and experiences?

Sorry OP but that doesn't look promising, especially with FMU. Obviously do another test to see if HCG is still dropping as there can be other factors that affect line darkness and good that you have a scan booked to confirm what is happening. If it is a CP you could talk to your GP about any tests for recurrent loss. So sorry you're going through this as it's horrid whatever the outcome. Good luck.

I’m sorry op, I agree with the pp that it doesn’t look too promising as your latest test does look quite a bit lighter.

If you deal lots throughout the night though that could have made a difference.

In my experience lighter tears always meant bad news.

I experienced my latest chemical back in November after getting a 1-2 weeks in a digital test.

I’ve attached the picture of my frers that confirmed it for me. I started properly bleeding a couple of days after my lighter test.

I hope you have a better outcome though.

That meant to say if you drank lots in the night!

Omg, and tests, not tears 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you ladies for your honesty, deep down I knew anyway I think. My last 2 failed pregnancies were with my ex a couple of years ago so I had higher hopes this time, I just hope they do some tests now to see what the problem is. Thanks again xx

@lockdownbabyx I truly hope you do have a better outcome. It’s great that you have a scan scheduled.

It’s true that there are many factors that can affect the darkness of the test lines.
I just know when I was going through it I didn’t want things sugarcoating, I’d rather have the lowest expectations and be happily surprised than think everything was ok.

If this does turn out to be your 3rd loss then your GP should be happy to refer you for some initial tests.

After my third loss I was referred to a fertility specialist where they did my day 3 and day 21 bloods, along with a scan, and my partners semen analysis.

I would let your GP know what’s happening so it can be logged. They may even be happy to do 48 hour bloods to check whether you hcg level is rising or falling.

Sending you so much love and as I said really hoping for the best for you x

@Moominmiss thanks so much, I will definitely push for further tests. It's just odd, I have no issue falling pregnant and have fell on the first cycle each time, I just can't seem to keep hold of them which makes me sad.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the outcome of your fertility tests? You don't have to answer that if you don't want to of course xx
