I had my little girl in March 19 and now due with LO in late July last year. This pregnancy has been tough already, lockdown and a toddler, it’s been intense.

I’m getting anxious about going from 1-2 children to have to look after.

How did you amazing women find going from 1-2?

DS1 had jist turned 2 when DS2 was born. The baby was simple: feed, poo, sleep, repeat and he basically lived in the sling for 6 months. The 2yo was the nightmare with constant tantrums, screaming, defiance. It's got a lot easier now DS2 is 14mo and can walk independently. ds1 seemed to mellow a bit when he turned 3.

Depends on the age gap thiugh (I'm no good at maths so can't work it out from your OP!).I think if DS1 was 3 when DS2 was born it would have been easier as a 3yo is much more independent and requires less supervision than a 3yo, but equally I'm glad I'll get out of the nappy and buggy phase sooner.

So much depends on the temperament of your child too. ds1 has always been defiant and energetic, he also didn't sleep, ds2 is much more relaxed and sleeps mostly very well.

Congrats OP and good luck x

For us 1 - 2 wasn't bad. Our 2nd was a really easy happy baby. We had a 5 year age gap as we lost 2 between them and I found jealousy was a big problem, I had to take our son everywhere with me as daughter hit him a couple of times when I went to the loo (funny wheeling him in pram with toilet door open but needs must). So long as you have good routines already set a new addition will slot in to life pretty easily. We have 5 now and expecting again, total mad house lol.

You will be fine, good luck.
