Warm belly in second trimester

I'm 20 weeks (with my first pregnancy that's gotten this far) and this week I've noticed a big increase in movement at particular times of day (mid-morning, early-evening).

Whenever this happens, my belly feels warm, before eventually cooling down. The change in temperature is enough that I wonder if there's something the matter. Is this normal? Hmm

I haven't noticed that I have to say! I know my LO goes still whenever anything cold is put on him - he'll kick me solidly all morning and then lie perfectly still for the MW after she puts gel on my bump to check heartbeat. Same if I put a cold hand on my bump. So he does move more when he's warm but I've always seen the causation as being the other way round... definitely ask your MW if it's bothering you.

Thank you @Mimba1, for some reason Mumsnet only notified me of your reply today! I'd never thought of it being that way round, how interesting.

When you say ask your midwife, is this the midwife named on my maternity notes? If so, then they're based at my GP, so I'll try ringing GP when I have a moment tomorrow.

Im 24 weeks and have to say ive never noticed this either or have I ever heard someone else saying about it. I did just google it tho and seen other posts on reddit saying where baby was felt far warmer lol! So your not alone, im maybe not as sensitive to hot and cold 😂
