When are you starting maternity leave?
I have 10 weeks left before I start mine (2weeks annual leave then starting Mat leave)
But I really want to stop working sooner than that but worried that it will have an impact later on down the line.

Just wanting to know what others plans are with working/finances etc.

Leaving on annual leave at 34 weeks, mat leave from 39+3. Cheers covid for cancelling plans and leaving me with lots of holiday to take.
I could work longer but I don't feel I'm doing a good job wfh 100% of the time thanks to the guidance from 28 weeks and just want to relax

I'm finishing up at 38 weeks and taking 10 months (first day of mat leave 1st March, go back after Xmas) - it just felt like the obvious thing to do with my dates and I'm WFH on on a laptop all day, so nothing too taxing. My cover is starting on 1st Feb, so have a month of handover, hoping things will gradually wind down as I handover so my least few weeks aren't too hectic!

On my due date not a minute before. It's dead boring to be at home doing nothing!

Stressful job (despite WFH) requiring constant evenings and weekends and a high risk pregnancy.... finishing at 29 weeks - the earliest possible! I know I'm an outlier, but this pregnancy is just too precious for me to risk any stress to the twins.

My original plan was to work close to the due date, but it's not working out like that, unfortunately.

I worked up to 38 weeks then baby was two weeks late, so I still ended up with loads of time beforehand. I did wish I’d finished earlier however - I had a longish commute with decent walk to office at other end so it got a bit much in the last week or two. I’ll probably finish a month before baby this time.

With my first, I left work on Friday he was born 2 weeks early on the Monday, there was me hoping for two weeks of downtime to get the house in order 😂
Just found out I'm expecting early October, but going to use all my annual leave to finish at the beginning of September. Mat leave from the day of birth, and then go back after the 9months paid + annual leave so hopefully baby will be 10 months approx. Our annual leave entitlement is from our birth month so mine is January so will have all to use after mat leave 😊
