Twitching/tapping sensation in pelvis

29+3 and for the last few weeks have been getting this weird rhythmic tapping feeling in my pelvis, usually a couple of times a day for about 5 minutes.

Have read it could be hiccups but it's every 1.5 seconds or so, sometimes a bit faster/slower.. Surely that's too fast to be hiccups? And why would I only feel it in my pelvis?

Midwife said it could be baby sitting on a nerve, or pulling umbilical cord but (not that I'm a medical professional) neither of those sound right to me.

Anyone else had this?

I’m 30 weeks now and on the odd occasion my boy has hiccups they are generally quite fast compared to how I would experience them! I often feel them down in my pelvis right in the middle as well, unless he’s decided to have a wriggle then occasionally I feel it on one side

@Squellyolwelly thanks for your reply! OK that does sound very similar then, perhaps it is hiccups after all!

I am 29 +4 and I have had the same thing several times in the past week! It's such a strange feeling, but I think it must be hiccups....either that or tapping to say hello 😊😂

Also have this, such a weird feeling.. I just presumed it was hiccups

I get this normally once or twice a day right down in my pelvis, Midwife confirmed probably hiccups xx

OK thanks everyone that's put my mind at ease Smile

Lol at the tapping to say hello, the thought crossed my mind Grin
