Hi, just looking for positive stories really and hope!
Yesterday I had been having period like pains so I just rested, after a few hours I got up to grab something and had an overwhelming cramping pain then felt a trickle down my leg, went to sort myself out and sorry tmi it was bright red blood and just in a puddle in underwear and down my legs. I went to a&e had an internal and was told everything looked ok. My bloods came back this morning and my hcg level is 12609, I have a scan tomorrow morning to check everything is ok. My bleeding wasn't continuous I had that one bleed and it near enough stopped and is now just really minimal spotting and brown blood. (I didn't pass any clots) Also my cramping stopped last night at around 8pm but it was bearable and didn't need pain killers. I hope that all makes sense just driving myself nuts with worry until I have my scan tomorrow. Thanks 😊 xxx

Hi! Sorry I dont have a story, I just wanted to say I hope you're okay and that the scan today shows it was just a random bleed for you! Keeping absolutely everything crossed xxx

I had the same at just over 6 weeks. One big gush of bright red blood. 5 or 6 days in the end of brown spotting. The big bleed happened the same day that my morning sickness disappeared overnight. Went for a scan 4 days later, originally they said it looked like I'd miscarried, called for a second opinion and found a heartbeat after 10 mins (which felt like 10 hours). I'm typing this a few days shy of 7 months pregnant. I'm not saying it's nothing to worry about, just that it's not always worst case scenario. Best of luck for your scan.

So I've had scan there is a baby and heartbeat which is brilliant measuring 6 weeks. But I have a big bleed next to my uterus she didn't say what courses it just it happens to 1 in 5 women and she isn't sure how the pregnancy is going to go, and I have another scan in 2 weeks time! xxx

This is so so common in pregnancies that go to full term. I had the same thing and panicked (of course, it's natural) but even on Mumsnet there's so many posters who've had the same and gone on to carry to full term. A lot of the time a scan doesn't find the cause either, mine didn't. My DS is now 3. Good luck at your scan OP, I know it's hard but try not to work yourself up

Oops, crossposted! Glad to see everything is fine!

Amyb94e · 18/01/2021 11:18

Thankyou! I've been on mumsnet looking for others with the same and it seems very common and all have had a positive outcome. Its slightly put my mind at more ease i just dont want to get my hopes up to much and it all goes wrong! i will keep you all posted on my next scan and fingers crossed all is ok xxxx

Hi @Amyb94e - I’m in similar position to you. Had a short but heavy bleed at 6+4 and again a few day later (fresh blood + clots) I was scanned on the day of the first bleed and nine days later, both scans ok and like yours they could see the bleed. I’ve had persistent brown spotting since . I am now 8+3 taking things very very easy and crossing my fingers until the 12 week mark! Good luck to you and your little bean xx

Im resting as much a possible difficult with 3 other children at home and homeschooling but just not over doing things. my fingers are crossed for you aswell! xxxx
