Pregnancy symptoms but BFN - am I losing the plot ?

Apologies but had to ask. I have had loads of pregnancy symptoms for 5-6 weeks - dehydration, feeling queasy on and off, cramping when no period due etc.. Had not been TTC so was not inventing these as hopeful signs but googled how I felt and came across mumsnet and started to wonder.. Anyway after 3 days of textbook implantation bleeding (as described on several threads on MN) I had 2 days of bright red bleeding which I assumed was either af or early mc. cycle is between 29-38 days (very unpredictable) but bleed was approx time of af, possibly earlier than expected. Did First Response test and BFN. I then got a cold and put all unwell feelings down to this and forgot about it. However, in the past 2 weeks have had 2 migraines (I only ever get these once or twice a year usually), a nosebleed (had never had one before) and still feeling really queasy on and off although haven't actually been sick. Decided to do another test (clearblue this time) and another BFN. Am pretty sure am not pregnant but why do I have so many symptoms ? I have read threads where people say that sometimes the pregnancy hormone is not strong enough to be picked up on tests - how likely is this, surely not very ? I guess the chance of me having a bleed at af time and have 2 BFNs says it all doesn't it ? Any experiences similar ? Have I become just another "am I aren't I ?" blush

Hi Mibbes
This happened to me last month and then I came on late which in turn was infact my monthly period (Im sorry if this isnt what you want to hear) ... but this month I have tested early (have 5days before I am due on) ... Ive tested and it was negative then I looked at the test out of sheer curiosity 24 hours later after reading a thread on mumsnet and there was a very faint positive line - the first reading was clearly negative ... the tests were cheap tests from www.babymad.com. I have done another test today which says negative and both tests were done first thing (best time to test) so I am really confused. I am really really tired, been getting headaches, feel sicky mid morning and mid afternoon so have to have a snack and cramping down below so I dont know whether I am pregnant or just my monthly period getting ready to appear in 5 days! I have read that you can still get your periods when you are truly pregnant and at the same time you can get a negative result on any test due to testing too early as it takes 48 hours for your preg hormone levels to increase, so dont test every day unless you want to and have got loads of tests (like me) that havent cost that much. When I was pregnant with my first baby girl 3 yrs ago, I tested and got 8 negatives, went to the doctors, they tested there and then, again negative and was told to return in 2 weeks time! This would have been 2 weeks after my period was late ... I tood a urine sample in after a week as I didnt want to wait and in the meantime tested a day before taking my sample to the docs and got a very very faint positive .... the test came back from the lab as a positive. I ovulate really late every month and dont have many days from ovulation until my period starts and this has problems in itself so I am very anxious to find out this month if I am pregnant. Hope my response helped in some way. Take Care

Hi Mibbes
... I also meant to say to you that there could be another possibility from what you are explaining and from what I have read on the internet is that you could have been pregnant and had all of the symptoms, but at the same time you could have MC very early on. This happens a lot and often you dont know it. I have had Preg symptoms each month for the last 5 months now and I think I am losing just before my monthly P is due due to late ovulation and POCS and then I have my M Period ... the docs have told me to come back to see them for a referral after 12 months of trying so I am having to chart now aswell so that I have all of my information documented to take with me to the consultant if I am not PG by then. I do hope that you are PG if thats what you want ... let me know how things are going.

Hi Jazzie23, now on 2nd day of implantation-type bleeding again which I now am pretty sure if pre-af spotting. expect to come on tomorrow so definitely not pg. Have read on MN that if you read test after suggested timescale that it is an evaporation line - probably worth testing again though just in case. Hope you get BFP soon.
Thanks for info xx
