I’m 20 weeks pregnant with my first and I’m really struggling to sleep around 4/5 every morning I have really bad stomach pain I think it could be trapped wind

Also every time I lay on my side my legs ache from top to bottom to bad it wakes me up I have to change positions about every half an hour, when I wake up and walk it off it does ease very quickly any advice?

Have you tried sleeping with a thin pillow/cushion between your legs? Or under your bump?

I found a hypnobirthing cd really helped with the night waking (I got back to sleep much faster and was less stressed by it).
Alternatively you could use the time to do "jobs" - I fitted a bath and tiled the bathroom during pregnancy with dc1 (all done between 4 and 6am 🙄)

I have tried using a pillow no luck unfortunately :( but I will try find something to do hopefully that will help ☺️ It’s amazing how you did that so early! Thank you

Sorry I don’t really have any advice to offer just sympathy as I have the same problem! I do tend to find that I wake up because I need the loo so I’ve tried not drinking in the last couple of hours before bed and sometimes that helps me sleep through the night. I get very dehydrated though so it’s not the ideal solution!

I was just furious that I was awake in the middle of the night; I was sick of being frustrated so decided to do something productive
