Hi, I just wondered if anyone has the same as it's making me worried and grumpy.
I have a two year old so I don't get to sleep when I want sometimes she gets up at 5 sometimes it's 7. I think this is the cause as I was very prone to headaches before I got pregnant when I become to tired.
I'm just paranoid it's something worse,
Had midwife appointment yesterday and my urine was fine and she said I had beautiful blood pressure. Just so fed up of having headaches every day :( didn't have this first time around but then again I could nap whenever 🤷‍♀️

I had this in the second trimester, I think it's a common complaint. It stopped after a few weeks.

This is my main symptom when pregnant. I suffer alot of headaches anyway but during pregnancy first time and this time it felt like I just had one long constant headache and it was awful! Bring on the nausea any day over a headache. Cant remember when they started to go away last time but this time it was around the 17/18 week mark.

Reeva1988 · 16/01/2021 08:54

I had a constant headache behind my one eye from 15-17 weeks! I was worried too and posted on here, turns out it’s really common and normal especially in the second trimester . Please hold in there , they will ease! X

I thought it might be common, just end up getting paranoid with things like this. Hopefully it won't last much longer as it's bringing me down being in pain 🙁

@LLLTB remember you can take paracetamol with no worries, if you keep on top of your doses it's a very effective painkiller.

Archip17 · 16/01/2021 10:31

I suffered with terrible headaches with my first pregnancy. I found 4Head topical stick took the edge off a bit www.superdrug.com/Health/Muscle-Pain-Relief-&-First-Aid/4-Head-Effective-Headache-Relief/p/11444 I hope it passes for you soon

LLLTB · 16/01/2021 10:38

Just ordered a head stick online and loads of paracetamol although at the moment it doesn't seem to do much 😒

Paracetamol didn’t help me either so I gave up taking them in the end! I ordered the kool n soothe migraine cooling gel sheets from Amazon. They did actually take the edge off .... I was exactly the same honestly . Really got me down as it was Constant and I thought they’d never end . Then I just woke up randomly and they’d gone . Not sure if it’s the same with you but I did slightly bunged up when I had them. As if my nose was blocked? You can get nasal sprays which are safe to use in pregnancy so may help you? I bought one but the headaches went so didn’t end up using it x

@Reeva1988 I could have written your posts!! So happy they have passed now (or so I hope).

@LLLTB I agree with @Reeva1988 about the stuffy nose thing. When your pregnant, the hormones & extra blood volume can cause nosebleeds! I haven’t actually had nose bleeds but when I blow my nose, there is always clotted blood so wondered if the blood had congealed and caused pressure. Which might be the same or you! I used a salt water saline nose rinse and blew my nose a lot. I also used peppermint oil on my temples. I’m now 21 weeks and haven’t had any since 18 weeks.

Hope they pass for you too xxx

MissSmiley · 17/01/2021 09:07

@LLLTB I agree with @Willowfalls can be to do with dry mucous membranes, my nose was so dry and it caused headaches, I suggest a saline nose spray and paracetamol, it will pass

LLLTB · 17/01/2021 09:36

I've not had any problems with my nose or congestion. But pre pregnancy I am very prone to headaches especially when it comes to lack of sleep. I wake up early and I wake up loads in the night for a wee 🙄 I feel a bit better today hoping to get a nap soon as husband is taking our daughter to the park for a play 👍🏼

Glad to have found this post! 9w started with constant headache - not usually prone to them. But do have the blocked/congested nose, so will definately be trying the advice. Thanks!

Queenbee95 · 18/01/2021 10:13

I was the same a couple of weeks ago. Headaches every single day. I was actually waking up in the morning already with a headache. It was awful.
I used a lot of the forehead cooling strips.

I hope you feel better soon
