Pregnancy after a miscarriage

I had a miscarriage on the 9th December 2020. Thought I was 7 weeks but doctor's said there was nothing there and the pregnancy didn't develop properly. Took a test about a week later, it was negative and also had a scan and was told there's no more signs of a pregnancy left. Have been trying to conceive again, it's been about 5 weeks after my miscarriage and I did a pregnancy test and it was positive, very strong line. Could I actually be pregnant or is most likely a false positive?

Unless you're taking certain drugs from what I understand false positives are actually very rare. What many people call a false positive actually seem to be evap lines or a genuine positive possibly associated with chemical PG. If you are getting a strong positive line having had a negative after your MC it seems more likely that you are actually pregnant. The timing doesn't seem too crazy either. Test again in a couple of days to be sure but fingers crossed this is the good news you were hoping for!

If you already got a negative test after your loss and then tested positive after I would imagine it was a true positive.

I had a MC back in October and I'm 8 weeks on Sunday. It can happen quite quickly!
