Did your pet act different during TWW before your BFP?

Heard this a lot that animals ‘sense’ when their owner is pregnant and act different

I have a dog and due to do a test tomorrow but they haven’t acted out of the ordinary! Probably a bit more obedient but he’s 1 so still at the age of learning. Maybe a bit more cuddly but like I say nothing out of the ordinary

Did your dog/cat/pet act different before you got a BFP? Or was it more when they noticed you were pregnant (e.g. symptoms kicked in, a bump grew)

One of my cats knew I was pregnant before I did. One day he suddenly turned into a sex pest. He wouldn't leave me alone. Literally couldn't sit down or lay in bed without him trying to hump me. He'd watch for DH leaving the room then he's be straight over! He's get so cross if I said no and moved him away - make these really grumpy noises and huff!

I honestly didn't think I was pregnant as was waiting to start IVF that month - I took the cat to the vets as I honestly thought his neutering had reversed itself or something - the vet thought it was hilarious! Advised me to take a pregnancy test. I was so embarrassed - but she and the cat were right! Soon as baby was born he stopped

I'm now pregnant with twins and the horny little bastard is at it again. He has the stamina of a porn star! 🤣

Before I took my pregnancy test my dog would not leave me alone! He would sit or lay right on top or next to me where ever I would go. It was as though he knew I was pregnant before I did! I researched this and it said that pregnant women let off a scent that dogs pick up on.
I am now 20w5d pregnant and he is still the same! He's actually cuddled up to me on the sofa right now! 🤭

I had three large dogs and a cat. When I was pregnant with my twins a couple of years ago, and also during this pregnancy they never acted any differently during my TWWs. (IVF pregnancies so I knew I was in my TWW). One of the dogs and the cat started acting differently later on once I had a bump. The other two dogs never behaved differently at all!

Nope! Even now at 21 weeks he’s totally oblivious!

Not me but my DD2 is pregnant..and our girl dog definitely knew before she did.. she's usually 'my' dog but she became very clingly to DD2 and cried a lot around her (DD2 and her dh are living with us pending house move). I was worried about the dog until they told us they were expecting :)

When I was pregnant with my son my cat was no different to normal. This time the cat started being a bit more loving towards me but that was once I’d had the positive pregnancy test.

My cat has known. With DC1 I didn't find out I was pg until around 10wks. DCat had been all over me for weeks, which was bizarre as she was the sort of cat who will happily sit next to you, but was never a lap cat and hated it if you picked her up (she has now softened in her later life and often comes for cuddles 😊 It isn't as intense as the pg cuddles though!). It was so bad that if I so much as sat on the stairs to put my shoes on, she would instantly materialise next to me and force her way onto my lap. As soon as DC1 was born it stopped. About 14/15 months later she suddenly started it up again. I bought a pregnancy test based purely on her behaviour (we were TTC, but it was the 2nd month of trying and we had only DTD once or twice that month. Plus was still a couple of days away from missing a period). Yep, she called it: pregnant! The line on the test was very very faint, but there was obviously enough of something happening in my body for DCat to tell.

My cat defo did. He’s one of those who likes to sit right next to you, but never on you. He always splits his time evenly between me and DH, we joke he is an equal opportunities cat.

A week or so after my positive test, he started following me around. I woke up to him sleeping on my stomach, or spooned in if I was sleeping on my side. He’s become my little shadow, won’t leave me alone. It’s such a stark change in behaviour I’m convinced it can only be that!

I’m 38 weeks, 3 dogs and a cat, not one of them has been any different at all throughout

I'm awake too! I can hear the little Hugh Hefner wanting in our room so he's obviously feeling frisky but im not in the mood tonight! 🤣

He'll often poke me in the eye with his paw to wake me up! once he's had his way he falls asleep snoring on my pillow with a happy little
Look on his face 🤣 Luckily only a few more weeks of pregnancy to go and hopefully his hormones will go back to normal! 🤞🤞

Both with my DD 4 years ago and now this pregnancy, my dog followed me around, sniffed at me, sat on me and wouldn't let me out of her sight. Usually she's my partners dog so the change was very noticeable they're clever things
