Blight ovum

So we had an 8 week scan yesterday which showed no baby and only a yolk sac inside of gestation sac which was dated 6w 4d. Our previous scan 2 weeks earlier showed a sac of 5w 4d so because it has grown, slightly, they don't want to intervene just yet. I have to wait another 10 days to see if more changes occur, although I know in my heart this is a blight ovum. My question is, what are the chances of miscarrying naturally? And has anyone experienced this? I'm dreading carrying around an empty pregnancy with me for another 10 days only to be say you're going to need surgical removal (which I have had previously from a missed miscarriage).

I miscarried my blighted ovum spontaneously a day after I was told to wait another ten days for a rescan so there is a chance of it happening.

I'm really willing a spontaneous miscarriage now. How was it for you, I've read the bleeds can be really bad.
