So on the 20th December I had heavy bleeding (sorry if TMI) this lasted 7 days. I then bled like a normal period for 5 days after that then spotting for another 3 days. All of this constant!
So I went to my doctor and he did the usual blood pressure, my temp and had a feel of my belly. Everything seemed fine, he said it could just be an abnormal period. Well... next thing he said took me by surprise! I had no idea he was testing me but I got a positive pregnancy test! He said it was most likely a miscarriage I had and I need a scan to make sure everything is gone. He called the hospital and they called me the next day.
I explained to them on the phone that I hadn't missed my period, didn't have any symptoms and had no idea I was pregnant due to not DTD that month with my partner. They were completely baffled as was I. Waited a week for my scan and bled 2 more days then spotting again for another 2 days.
Went for my scan today feeling numb, I lost a baby I didn't know I was carrying. And need to listen to the midwife talk to me about it, so she said she would scan me and told me I wouldn't see anything. She was just checking to make sure I had nothing left....
Well... as soon as the Doppler was on my belly... Low and behold there is a tiny baby, his heart beating and healthy!! I'm 6 weeks +1 pregnant!! My mind is blown!! Over the moon and all over the place!!
Thought this would reassure anyone who is going through anything similar to what I went through the past few weeks. Don't lose hope! Miracles can happen!
