Implantation bleed or early period after miscarriage?

Hi everyone. I will be grateful to anyone that responds here and shares their experiences. I found out that I had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks in October. Since then, I have had two periods and they have started a few days later than expected. Prior to the miscarriage, I was always very regular (I know a few days out isn't bad). We hadn't been trying to conceive until this month. Yesterday, I thought I was experiencing implantation bleeding as I had some twinges and some pinkish watery blood - but not much. Today, I am developing cramps and the blood is bright red and is there when I go to the toilet. I am not due on until next Wednesday. I thought it could be implantation but now I am thinking it could be an early period - obviously it is too early to test yet but the wait is torture. What do you think.. an early period? (although fairly unlikely considering my previous cycle patterns) or implantation? If anyone reading had a silent miscarriage.. how long did it take your body to settle? I worry mine is still very confused. Thanks everyone.

Not sure what the answer is but didn't want to read and run.

I had a MMC discovered at 9 weeks and MC with medical management. The next period was at a slightly odd time but then went back to being regular pretty quickly. It is possible you had an anovulatory cycle? They can happen and cause bleeding at odd times - I definitely had that while TTC.

Good luck. It's so difficult waiting each month, especially after loss.

@Mimba1 thanks for replying! Okay so I hadn’t heard of one of those before but I’ve just google, it is basically a fake period? So maybe now this is a real one? For my other periods I didn’t have any period pains but right now I am in agony so I feel like this is more likely to be a period currently and it feels more like they used to. Sorry to hear that you’ve been through a miscarriage too. It’s awful isn’t it. X

I miscarried last year and my cycles went very wonky for a while afterwards. They've just settled back into their normal 32 day cycle in the last couple of months. I don't know much about implantation bleeding as I've never had it, sorry!
