BFN then BFP?

Just that really!!
Anybody get a BFN then go on to get a BFP?
I'm currently furious with myself for testing today on 10dpo when periods not due til Sunday. Used FRER too so wasted a good test! It was, of course, BFN.
I was so sure this month might be the one!
Anybody get BFN 10dpo then go on to get a lovely BFP?
I'm starting to loose hope in ttc 😔

With my first I took a test 2 days before I was due and was negative, took another the day I was due and was positive. This time I just waited until the day I was due and got an immediate dark positive

I did, BFN on 10 dpo, BFP on 14dpo. I was most surprised!

Ok. That's good to know. I'm going to try and sit tight til at least Saturday.
I knew I shouldn't do it. I just couldn't help myself!
Anymore encouraging tales of bfn turned bfps?

Hi @ClaraBean I'm also 10dpo and made the mistake of testing this morning. Do you have any symptoms? I feel no different this month but I've got my hopes up so high 😕

I had negatives right up to missed period with this pregnancy. I didn't test until I missed my period last pregnancy so don't know whether that would have given a BFP earlier.

@Madeoftea I feel like I have got symptoms. Had really weird bloaty, draggy feeling last night. I feel a little queasy but not sick. I felt really dizzy the other day and had to pull over for a minute (I as driving!).
But really I could just be looking too hard and seeing normal stuff and calling it a symptom!! I wish I noticed af signs before, but I never needed to. Got pregnant with older dc so quickly I never had to pay attention. But that was a long time ago now!

Yes I did! Tested two days before period was due, on the due date, and 2 days later - all negative. Then managed to wait until period was a week later - positive!

If you think about it, every single pregnancy will be negative until it's positive IYSWIM. If you test before the hormone levels are high enough to be detected then that's all the test is telling you. It can't possibly tell you whether it's negative and won't be turning positive or that it will.

for me it was
9dpo - FRER bfn
10dpo - ASDA bfn
11dpo - CLEARBLUE bfn then evap line
12 dpo - FRER very very very faint line after 7 minutes , thought possible evap
14dpo - FRER faint positive, 2 CB faint positive
15dpo - CB digital FMU BFN
15dpo - FRER SMU faint positive
15dpo - ASDA BFP stronger

Sorry that bottom 15dpo is supposed to be 16dpo!

I got three BFNs including the day my period was due...gave up testing, as had all my normal pregnancy symptoms and was sure that my period was going to arrive. When my period was four days late I was just about to pour myself a massive glass of wine when I thought I should do one final test just to be sure...and it was positive! Now 30 weeks pregnant. I didn't get to drink the wine

I did! It was about 10 dpo and then got a BFP at 15dpo. Now a strapping 18 month old. The bfn was on a mega old test though, not sure if it would have expired or was just too early.
