Sleeping Comfortably... how?

So I'm 17 weeks pregnant and starting to show, and for the last few nights I've found sleeping really uncomfortable.

I'm usually a back sleeper but the pressure is too much and makes it hard to breathe. When I sleep on my side, after a few minutes I get a sharp pain like a stitch on the upper side of my belly (as though the bump is pulling me to the bed and tugging on my other side). I then have to stand up and stretch to get rid of the pain, turn over, and the whole thing starts again.

Is this just something to get used to for the next 5/6 months? Or any tips?!? I've tried stacking up the pillows around me but not yet found a comfy way to lie down. Is a pregnancy pillow worth the money?

Tempted just to sleep upright in an armchair for the next 6 months...

No advice. Currently 28 weeks and I don't remember being as uncomfortable in my last pregnancy. You could try a pregnancy pillow? I tried using mine a few nights ago and just couldn't get comfortable. I normally sleep on my front. Counting down the days till I can be comfortable again Grin

Def would advise a pregnancy pillow . Doesn't have to be expensive, I have one similar to this, but I don't sleep with the bar near my head I have it the other way round and use my normal pillows
