12 week scan today - nervous!

I have no idea why but I am so incredibly nervous about my scan today! I'm actually only 11+2 by my calculations but hey I'm sure they'll give me a better idea today! I had a scan at 6+1 and was told everything was fine but now I'm counting down the hours to my appointment and convincing myself something will be wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️ doesn't help that I have to go on my own!

@Firsttimemumm31good luck good luck for today, mine is Monday’s feeling the same but plan on taking my husband with me and I have been told otherwise and if needed he can wait in the car. I also had an early scan. Let us know how it goes.

Good luck!! It's very exciting! I've booked a private scan for next week as I haven't heard anything from NHS yet and I'm frothing to get there 😂😂 will only be 8+2 by then but just want this to seem real!

@Firsttimemumm31 my 12 week scan is today too its absolutely terrifying so I know how nervous you are feeling. I've had 2 miscarriages before with 1 at 12 weeks so I barely slept last night with nerves. I'm very lucky in my hospital you can have your partner with you to 12 week scans but we are nervous as each other I think. Fingers crossed your scan goes well x

I have mine too but think i may be a couple of weeks further along, also going alone! Baby #6!

I have mine today too! Not till this afternoon. I had a miscarriage in September after a scan at 11 weeks that looked fine so I've kind of lost the love with scans a bit! This one has been scheduled quite late- I think I'm 13+4 today. The later it is the more reassuring though. Fingers crossed for us all xx

Well it went ok!! Hope everyone else's did too! Baby was very active and wouldn't flip the right way up!! But still it was lovely to see the little one wiggling around!!!

So glad for you @Firsttimemumm31. Did you get a chance to hear the heartbeat? I can't wait for that moment!

I had my 12 week scan on Monday, which I thought I should have been 11+4. She measured baby and was measuring at 10+6, which is too small for them to do the nuchal tests. I've got to go back next Thursday for a second 12 week scan. I'll see if they let me hear the heartbeat then too.

It's my first baby, so worrying loads as I have no idea if this is normal or not! Everything suggests it is, so at least I'll be able to see baby twice 😊

Congratulations everyone! We had good news too! A very active baby 13+2 due end of July. I can already feel tiny kicks!

@22ELF22 Got to see the heartbeat but not hear it today my hospital doesn't do that until the 20 week scan and mine is booked for 17th March so the countdown is on!! So glad your scan went well and yes getting to see your little one again so soon is a definite plus!! 💕

Thanks @Firsttimemumm31 the sonographer was impressed with how clear the images were but my bladder was about to burst!

I love seeing the scan pictures! It gives me my fix whilst I wait for mine!

I’ve got my 12 week scan on Monday and I’m so paranoid that something’s gone wrong .. I went for one at ten weeks and everything was fine .. am I being paranoid someone tell me I’m being paranoid

Our baby is 13 weeks, scan all ok. :)

@Mrslouu all went well baby was asleep and didn’t move very much! Saw the heart beat , she showed us the baby Brain ! The hospital was running a bit behind which didn’t help my nerves! Ah good to hear your in south East ! I’m in Portsmouth area :)

@Limegreentangerine that’s good news. Baby was awake and constantly moving so causing the scanner a few issues but lovely to see. I’m reading. Glad everything went well. X
