I have got appointments tomorrow and the next day in a London hospital with lots of covid patients, and I have a mask that is meant to offer me some prot

Sorry, posted too soon...protection, but it has a foam inner bit to aid with face fitting. The foam has a horrible chemical smell.

Not sure which is worse for baby...wear a mask that has foam fumes but protects more from covid...or a less protective mask with no smell?

It’s stressful going in!

@Inkpaperstars are you sure the smell is not just a synthetic smell rather than an actual chemical. I can't imagine any company would make a mask that is harmful.

Yes it could well be that, I agree it would seem odd to wear anything toxic next to the face!

Most hospitals are making you swap your own mask for their masks anyway when you arrive, so you might be able to swap it!
