Maternity clothes - sizing!

Hello! FTM and with lockdown can’t try things on!

I ordered some second-hand things off ebay assuming I’d be my usual size in maternity . But they are already tight across the chest (I’m 19 weeks tomorrow) and that’s definitely not an area I’m typically blessed in!! Although my bum thats large enough to have its own gravitational pull pre-pregnancy seems to be accommodated just fine?!

Should I be buying a size or two up from my usual size?

I sized up Smile

I've gone up 1 size and I'm 17 weeks - by the end of my last pregnancy I had sized up 2 sizes

Normally you can find the sizes of maternity clothes on the retailers website and then you can measure yourself before you buy them 2nd hand online if that's any help Smile

Maternity clothes should be ok in your usual size. But there are exceptions for every rule, as with "normal" clothes! JoJo Maman Bebe, Seraphine and Gap were all true to size or (mostly) generous for me. H&M came up small, but I got away with it (only because I consistently measured 10 weeks behind, though).

Thank you.

Shall have a go at measuring myself tomorrow :) probably more productive than just staring at my chest in confusion!
