No EWCM during TWW - is a BFP possible?

11dpo - testing Friday to get most accurate result possible

I’ve been okay this TWW, not really symptom spotted until today...

I for some reason noticed I didn’t have lots of EWCM and have inspected my CM which is a bit drier but I have a (TMI) ‘wet’ feeling down there which was making me think I had lots of CM

Did you still get a BFP without lots of CM/without EWCM?

Trying not to panic as I haven’t got long left to test but I’m really sad and convincing myself this means I’m out?

I didn’t have any EWCM in my TWW. Early in my TWW I had quite watery discharge, I wouldn’t say a lot but enough to notice because I wouldn’t expect much after ovulation. This stopped probably 7dpo? So I would say it’s still possible for you to get a BFP- every body is different so we’ll have different symptoms.

do you temp? That's the only to confirm ovulation. You could also use ovulation tests. my guess is that yes, you could still ovulate but bodies aren't clockwork. if you are 11dpo, a FRER would most likely show positive (in my experience) but unless you know for certain when you ovulated, that's a guessing game too

Oh sorry, did you mean no EWCM around ovulation? If so, agree with with Wimbler above :)

I think I read somewhere that a symptom of pregnancy could be increased EWCM? But after googling a lot and checking other threads it seems it’s a hit and a miss symptom with people saying they didn’t have any during TWW

@Thisisbananas3 no I did mean during TWW! I did get EWCM around ovulation (around peak result on clear blue!)

@wimbler I don’t temp no - just use clear blue tests!

I am talking about during TWW as I’m worried that having none now means I won’t get a BFP as I read somewhere it can be a symptom - but again can be hit and miss like most symptoms!

@qiwueowhskwjwk oh that’s interesting, I didn’t realise, good job I didn’t know at the time as I’d have been convinced I was out! I definitely had no EW but know that feeling of being wet. And you’re not out until AF arrives- let’s hope she doesn’t!!! :)

Never had ewcm during ovulation or tww in the 8 months ttc.
And definitely no CM in tww when i got my bfp.
Don't lose hope.

I'm 10DPO today and haven't had any EWCM, I don't think its something that everyone will get in their TWW. I haven't had any but have had that same feeling of being wet, sorry for the TMI.

I'm holding out for as long as possible to test, AF is due this weekend but I'm hoping for a BFP 🤞

sorry I misread, I thought you meant around ovulation. EWCM around ovulation is good because it helps the sperm stay alive and helps them get to the egg. Once they are there and the egg is fertilised I understand it becomes less important. Anecdotal i know, but I only ever have EWCM around ovulation and am now 10w with my second child.
If you are pregnant you will know soon enough, I know it's hard but try not to over analyse.

If you want to increase ewcm, drinking a glass grapefruit juice everyday helps (from my own experience)

@qiwueowhskwjwk 🤣 tell me about it!! I googled everything in the tww and now I’m 10 weeks I’m Googling everything else, going to drive myself mad! Don’t think I’m alone though (I hope!)
