That's great it's scary isn't it. This is the second bleed I've had in this pregnancy and it's worrying me. Still waiting on midwife but I've been sent home to rest so I am x

@Mylasmummy2102 I had bleeding last week at 10 weeks on and off for three days. I went to EPU on Saturday and was told I was further along at 11 weeks and baby was doing really well, from the scan they couldn’t see a reason for the bleed. I then had an internal exam and was told I have a polyp on my cervix which was causing the bleeding. It was also pink/fresh blood for me but only when wiping. Hopefully midwife will help you and you can get checked over, but there could be lots of reasons for the bleeding many of which wouldn’t be any worry for baby x

Glad everything was okay for you and your baby! I've been told my the hospital to take a paracetamol and keep an eye on it o guess they don't want many people up the hospital with the current situation but if I get anymore blood I need to call them x

It is scary but try not to worry. I had it on and off and would gush out and then stop. It was the worst and filled it with stress, try to do as little as possible and dont stand for long periods. Xx

@Solomon1212 thankyou im at home resting and my partners leaving early to collect the kids etc so I don't have to walk around. Gosh that sounds so scary glad everything was okay with you xx

Hi OP, I had bleeding at 14 weeks, was super scary so I am offering you a virtual hand hold! It turns out I have a low lying placenta, currently 21 weeks and baby is absolutely fine.

I pushed to get seen at the clinic (even though they said to only come in if I started bleeding heavily or had bad pain), and at every maternity assessment/appt since, I have been told I absolutely did the right thing in going in and getting checked out. So it might be worth pushing to be seen, if you think it would help put your mind at ease. When I went in, they checked my blood pressure, asked about pain, and did an internal to check my cervix was still closed. All looked fine and I felt a lot more reassured afterwards.

Hope you soon feel better Flowers

@Mylasmummy2102 like @CharlieD2020 has said I too had to push to be seen last week. After three days of spotting they finally agreed, and by that point I was very upset and anxious. If you are worried and it continues for more than a day I would try to get seen, although of course it's personal choice given the current circumstances xx

I had bleeding at 15 weeks. They couldn't find any reason for it & I'm now 25+4 with baby kicking away happily. Hope they check you out as its so stressful.

SamoyedFan123 · 12/01/2021 12:39

Bleed at 18 weeks here, like a PP or was a low lying placenta causing it. Advised to take it easy and specially to avoid sex. 4 weeks later it had shifted up and all was fine after that.

Mylasmummy2102 · 13/01/2021 09:51

The pain in my side has got a lot worse over night so I'm definitely going to ring and push to be seen. Thankfully the bleeding has stopped but I don't want to keep taking paracetamol all the time it's just masking the pain which I don't want to do I want to find out why I'm in pain xx

@Mylasmummy2102 Hi- I am so similar to you. Went to hospital for this reason this week- at 15 weeks. I was lucky scan seemed to be ok but I am so glad I went in. This has happened me a few times at this stage- placenta position has been mentioned as possibility before but they did not mention after scans so I am none the wiser yet tbh. Sending you good wishes as I know this fear so well. Really hope the ED visit is helpful.

Mylasmummy2102 · 13/01/2021 16:21

Thank you for all your messages! I saw the doctor and I have a kidney infection so on antibiotics and if it gets worse I need to ring the hospital and been seen by them xx

@Mylasmummy2102 that must be the cause of the bleeding then? That’s great it’s not anything to do with the baby, hopefully it clears up soon! X

Mylasmummy2102 · 13/01/2021 17:17

Yeah the blood is showing up in my wee so it's due to an infection. It's settle don't anxiety a bit thank god! Thank you xx
