PCOS HCG levels early scan

LMP 27/11/20
I have PCOS - periods 42 days apart
HCG levels on 7/1 119
HCG levels on 9/1 287
Both done by blood tests at the hospital
Clearblue says 2-3 weeks pregnant.

Doctor requested early scan 8/1 - nothing seen. Booked in for another scan 22/1. Are they scanning too soon? How pregnant am I?

There won’t be anything seen on a scan until your HCG is over 1000 at least.
Not sure to calculate how far along you are but my HCG was 158 at 3 weeks 6 days... then at 4 weeks 2 days it was 687... so you could be around the 4 week mark but HCG levels are different for everyone xx

I had a scan 5+1 HCG 647 and nothing seen on scan. Was terrifying! Had hcg done again 2 days later and it was 2200!

So then had a scan a week later at 6+1 (5 days after my 2200 hcg blood works) and a yolk sac was seen! Measuring more 5 weeks they said than 6. I was sure of my dates.

Now 9+5 can hear baby heartbeat on Doppler and seen heart flickering away on ultrasound.

Hope it all goes ok by the sounds of it if your hcg continues to double as it has done with your previous blood work, your hcg will be around 14,000 by the 22nd which I'm sure you'll be able to see something if I did with only 2200!!

Apologises my hcg when I had the scan If doubling from the 2200 would have been around 8000-9000. I didn't go into the 2nd scan with a hcg of 2200. Xx

Oh bless you. Keep us updated. I'm sure all will be okay!! Even at my second scan where they saw baby it was only 2mm ! So superrrr small... I have attached my scan at 6+1 so you can see... they're hard to find!! Xx

Very similar to me @Gemmaemilyx when they were able to see something the fetal pole was only 1.8mm ... as of last week it was 21mm with a strong heart beat or 172bpm... they grow up so fast 😂😂

@lrsmoi my first scan was at 4 & 2 (when HCG levels were like double/triple yours) and also nothing was seen on scan except for a thickened uterus lining. Then at 5 & 3 a tiny fetal pole with no heartbeat then at 6 & 1 heartbeat :)

Congrats :) all sounds good, I’d say if your cycle is normally 42 days you’re probably about 4.5 weeks. Totally normal not to see anything on scan. 21st I would guess at 6 weeks or just under - so again it would be normal if you don’t see a heart beat or even an embryo then - you’ll likely see at least sac plus yolk sac. Again congrats - sounds like everything’s is going normally :)

Update - had my scan yesterday and there's a little chicken nugget shaped baby in there! Over the moon and feeling so relaxed now.

@mrskin90 just under 6 weeks! It felt like I had just found out I was pregnant all over again. I'm not normally an emotional person but I called my husband crying saying "there's a BABY in there???!?!?!"
