Hi, i have tried a number of newborn car seats and struggle to fit them in the rear seat of my car. does anyone know if you can use/where to get car seat belt extensions that can be used with car seats

Do you have a mothercare near you? If so, pop in and get them to try and fit a couple of seats for you. You shouldn't really need an extension belt.

I don't think you can get extensions for car seats (to the best of my knowledge). We had a similar problem and went for a Britax Rock-a-tot in the end, which fits in the back of my fiesta (but not my husband's micra). Try the Britax website, they have a fit-finder where you tell them your make of car and they tell you which of their car seats will fit.

Don't think you can in UK unless the dealer will help. Many seats now have bases which can be fixed with less belt and the seat slots onto that or alternative routings for shorter seat belts. What car is it , someone may well be able to advise you, havign had the same dilemma before. The Britax site can help , as long as your model of car has been included in their tests.
