Growth scan 38 weeks

Hello,

I ended up at triage early this morning due to a change in movements. Everything was fine and typical little one decided to have a party once the monitor was strapped on.

However the midwife at triage measured my bump at 33cm, my community midwife measured it the previous day at 36.

I’ve been referred for a growth scan and just wondering what to expect? They did a quick scan this morning and everything seemed fine but is there a chance they would induce me?

Just wondering what to expect

Measuring fundal height is outdated and misleading. The only way to remotely ensure the measurements are consistent/accurate is to have the same person perform it each time. Honestly it makes me cross it is still used. I wouldn't spend another moment concerned about this. Best of luck for your delivery and new baby x

I was measuring small at 38 weeks and was induced but I was told this was only because baby had also had a temporary massive drop in heart rate (50bpm) and i'd lost a lot of amniotic fluid. If it was for size alone they'd said they wouldn't have induced. I hope the scan goes well.
