Due date

Can someone help and explain for me, first time mum here! My due date from my last period put me at the 9th August. I then had an early scan which put me back a few days so was then the 12th August. I know the official dating happens at the 12 week scan but I just wanted to know, do I go by my lmp date or the early scan date?

Thanks!

You’ll go by the date you’ll be given at your 12 week scan.
I’m currently 35.5w but I had February 14th by my dates, a scan at 8.5 put me at February 16th but my 12 week scan put me at 7th February so that’s my due date.

You go by lmp until your 12 week scan when you’ll get your official due date. My 12 week scan matched my early scan date but they won’t make it official until 12 week scan

Go from lmp. I did and was getting 5th June, then at my 8 week scan was told 6th June. At my 12 week scan they dated me as the 2nd June!

More than likely it'll be brought forward at your 12 week scan

I was told 2 different dates at my first scan. One from the sonographer and one from the midwife I saw after the scan. I didn't bother to question it. Babies are very unlike to come on their due date so I wouldn't stress about it.
