Sooo..

Hoping you ladies can offer any help/advise

I was due on my period on the 5th jan and I’m now 5 days late. I’m usually like clockwork every 27 days if not latest 28 day cycle.

I’ve taken around 10 tests, FR, CB, Strip tests and own brand cheapies. Own brand cheapies definitely had faint lines, I’m not sure about FR as I’m sure I saw a line but partner thought not, clear blue was a definite no, CB said no and strip tests said no.

I have such sensitive nipples and my boobs are like rocks, I’m having some brown blood when wiping and lots of clear discharge. Slight cramping in left side of tummy and slightly nauseous and generally feel a bit crappy. I don’t know what’s going on.

I’m booked in for a blood test on 14th but I’m driving myself crazy waiting till then.

I have spoken to the early pregnancy unit and they’ve said monitor the pain, if it gets worse call again etc and to repeat test in 2 weeks and go from there.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Am I pregnant or is my body playing tricks!

Thanks mums and mums to (hopefully) be xx

I had this with both #1 and #2. Do you know the length of your luteal phase? I ask because even with a 28 day cycle, not everyone ovulates on day 14. I have a short luteal phase, which means that I ovulate right at the very end of my cycle, only a few days before my period. If that happens, and you are lucky enough to get pregnant (it is often quite hard to have a successful implantation if you have a very short luteal phase) you will continue to test negative for quite a long time after your missed period. Rest assured that you will probably get a positive test by 7-10 days late, however. If you have been tracking BBT, you will see a sustained high temp throughout this time, which is also a good indicator of pregnancy. I hope you get the result you are looking for!

Hi hun thanks for replying!

I have no idea I’ve never tracked my ovulating. But from past successful pregnancies I’ve had I think I’ve ovulated around the usual time but can’t be sure. I’ve always had positive tests on the day of my missed period if not a few days even before due! I’ve never tracked BBT either.

We would love another baby but wasn’t actively trying but at the same time not preventing it, just the usual pull out method, I have 2 beautiful kids already so another would always be lovely

X

Hmm... that complicates the picture! It could be that your LP length has changed after your last pregnancy, of course... (?). That does happen sometimes. Either way, you'll know within a few days for sure... just keep testing!
