Can I get induced

I was just wondering if anybody know if I could ask to be induced at 39 weeks?
Im only 5 months now but before this one I had a bad pregnancy which didnt progress and I had to have methetroxate to treat it and was really unwell (this happened early on in the pregnancy) they thought it was eptopic but the diagnosis was changed to PUL. Ive had anxiety since and a lot of bad dreams and Ive read about still birth increases after 39 weeks and I just dotn want to get past 40 weeks because I will be panicking and it will make things worse.
I really dont mean to sound insensitive and am greatful for any replies but if anyone has experienced a late miscarriage please could you not mention it in this tread as I have really bad anxiety about it and it will make it worse

Sorry just to add what happened to me the doctor said was quite rare so thats why Im worrying about things happening alte in the pregnancy because it is less common at the start.

I think you should raise this with your midwife and ask to be referred to a consultant if you're not already seeing one . You'll maybe need to be pushy so maybe write some bullet points before you speak to the midwife. That always helps me think and speak clearly if it's a stressful situation. Good luck.

I can't see why not, definitely worth discussing with your midwife /consultant.

With DS I asked to be induced due to various reasons and they were happy to do so. Got booked for it at 38 weeks but a bed became available the weekend before so was 37 +4 when I went in.

Please do speak to your midwife. Also read up on induction as it isn’t the most pleasant thing and often leads to further intervention. Loads of luck to you
