Hello-

I am 7 week 4 today. Monday I started spotting and it’s just not stopped. Had a private scan Monday as I was worried and it was all okay. Measuring correctly and heartbeat present.

Could this colour of discharge be from my cervical erosion that I have?

No sex or anything like that. my scan was internal Monday so could it be from that still?

No bad cramps or backache.

I have another scan booked Tuesday morning where they are checking my cervix to double check it’s my erosion and my cervix is closed.

I’m so paranoid as I have had previous miscarriages and an ectopic in sept xxx

I bled from around 4-7 weeks on and off.

Baby absolutely fine.

If the medical professionals have said you're ok, you're probably ok

Just think I'm super anxious. Not enjoying this pregnancy at all. It's so disconcerting seeing this everyday on my pad.

I had brown ewcm and brown spotting from about 5-7 weeks. I read that as your uterus stretches it can cause tears that bleed. I assumed it was that, baby was fine at 12 weeks scan. I checked forums a lot of women spoke about experiencing bleeding.

Are you normally this anxious? Is there anyone you can speak to?
Pregnancy/babies are quite stressful little beings at time so sometimes I think it's better to get any worries under control first

I am no expert and my experience was many years ago but throughout my first pregnancy I spotted with cervical erosion. Had a healthy dg at full term. Worse was I only learnt that was the cause when I was admitted in labour and the midwife was reading my notes. My gynaecologist had never disclosed it to me. So, yes you will be very worried and nothing will put your mind at rest until your scan but there can be good news and a healthy happy baby on the way. Have a non mumsnetty hug.

I have a cervical erosion and bled on and off (especially after sex or a poo tmi!!) for the first 15-17 weeks both pregnancies. Various shades of blood from brown to bright red. Worrying but ultimately all was fine.

@lcdododo no, I think it's because it's been a long time ttc- alongside a very traumatic ectopic with four hour surgery which ended up with me in ICU. Also had a horrid miscarriage where d&c went wrong too! So I think my anxieties are justified- but as you say baby's are stressful! I already have a 9 year old. It's just this early time in a pregnancy- I think once I start to feel baby I'll relax a lot more as it's reassurance

Thank you everyone. I did have a cervical erosion with my son- but I had red bleeding from about 17 weeks.

I am also due to have a cervical stitch due to my son being born at 28 weeks- spontaneous labour!

I'm sure once I get past the 1st trimester my worries will ease. I've just had a long journey getting here and it's not been an easy one!
