7 weeks 2 days and only measuring 5??

So I went for a scan today I’m 7 weeks 2 days and the scan says I’m Only about 5 weeks can only see a small sac no heartbeat or anything but I know my dates are right and I know I ovulated on time as I was taking ovulation tests to track ovulation so there is no way my dates could be wrong. I have not had any heavy bleeding I had some spotting which only lasted 2 hours this was about a week and a half ago. I’m worried I’m miscarrying as I had a misscarriage in October and the same thing happened then, the scan was measuring me earlier than I was.

Your own date workings don't mean much - I was a 100% sure I knew the day I ovulated because of the sticks/discharge etc. It turns out at my early scan I was two weeks ahead of myself. Go by the medical's dates only, which means it's too early for a heartbeat at 5 weeks. Good luck! X

So sorry you're going through this! It can go either way at this point, hope you get a positive outcome.

My case is a little different but I wanted to show that dates are weird! I went to a scan at what I thought was 7 weeks plus a few days and the embryo measured bigger and they put me forward a week.

Working backwards from my new dates I know it’s physically impossible for me to have conceived then even if I ovulated early and there’s no way I could be a week further along. I tracked everything and was sure of dates. If all okay I’m hoping it will be even out by my next scan.

I think when it’s this early it’s so small in there and things grow at different rates that’s it’s hard to be accurate. I know it can go either way but i really hope your next scan will show the bean has caught up xxx
