Community Midwife Appointment

Hi all,
I’m currently nine weeks pregnant and am still waiting to hear from a midwife about a booking appointment. I was told someone would contact me to arrange this and it would be carried out by phone due to COVID-19.

A couple of weeks ago I received a letter about a community midwife appointment in mid February and just assumed this was a separate appointment as it’s at a GP’s surgery and would mean I was over fifteen weeks pregnant.

Is seeing a community midwife a standard thing that happens separately to your booking appointment and scans? Or do I need to contact someone as dates may have been mixed up and I need to see someone earlier?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

You need to chase them up as ur booking app is normally before 8 weeks it's mostly history taking app but important as they would then arrange ur 12 week scan and blood work.
The booking app is either carried out by ur community midwife or at the hospital depending on where ur live I believe

Depends on your area as in my area, we see the midwife for a booking app at around 10 weeks.

I think you should call them

Thank you for your replies.
Apparently this is a separate appointment and the hospital contact me directly for booking, blood tests and scans so just waiting to hear.
I had heard most booking appointments happened around ten weeks so I think that is what must happen in my area too, @Aprilbaby21.

Thanks again for your help!
