Hi guys I’m 10 weeks 5 days. Everything’s fine so far scans are good heartbeats good!

I’m so so worried still as everyone is in the first 12 weeks, has anyone been told that second trimester is also a safe zone for women with pcos or is that just for women who don’t suffer with it.

I’ve had a previous miscarriage at 6 weeks, this time I have all the symptoms I’ve suffered really bad wity sickness apart from that so far so good, I’m struggling to decide if I should announce after my 12 week scan as I still could be at risk even after, any one been told anything with pcos after 12 weeks are we safe?

Hi Op,
I have PCOS and haven't been told I'm anymore at risk of miscarriage than anyone else. I would say after 12 weeks if you feel comfortable then you would be fine to tell people.
I did have a miscarriage 6 years ago, but then went on to have a healthy DS and I'm now pregnant again, 17 weeks. FYI I started to tell people after 12 weeks both times.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Hey, like pp, I haven't heard we are higher risk of miscarriage with PCOS. Think it can just cause some people problems with conceiving. I would use the regular guidelines for telling people ie past 12 weeks. Hth!
