Hi all,

Me and my wife finally have a little girl on the way due May this year after having three boys!

We've had three scans and they have all seemed fine. However a consultant has rang up saying that they are concerned that each time my wife has been scanned the stomach was full and they have not seen it empty and they are worried there could be a blockage. (Although the scanner and midwifes thought full stomachs was a good sign).

They have said they want to scan again on Wednesday PM and that dad (me) should be close by incase needed..

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences around this as of course it's driving us all nuts.

Any help would be appreciated thank you!

It can mean nothing. However it can also be a sign of duodenal
atresia.
Which is to do with the intestine and requires surgery to correct once born.
Which isn't something you'd want obviously but it is just a case of the surgery and that should be sorted for life.
Fingers crossed for you
