BBT charting during pregnancy

Hi all,
Whilst TTC I was chatting my BBT on a daily. I am now 13 weeks (had my first scan last week- all was well). Out of curiosity I starting checking my temps again I’ve noticed they’ve dropped in comparison when I first became pregnant. Initially I was between 36.6 -36.8, when checking recently I noticed I was 36.4 twice in a row. Now I’m really worried.

Has anyone else charted BBT throughout pregnancy? Is it advised? Does it change? I don’t know if it’s unnecessary anxiety (after suffering from 2 miscarriages).

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

It is unnecessary anxiety.

The placenta takes over a lot of the work by 12/13 weeks. It makes its own progesterone (which is the cause of the rise in temp).

Don't temp. It's totally irrelevant.

@physicskate thank you for the reply. My concern was that my temp dropped in comparison to when I first fell pregnant. 😩

Hi @786Smiles. Against advice online about the anxiety it may cause, DW continued taking her temperature for about 3 weeks after BFP. It was reassuring at first but when the temperatures dropped sporadically it caused concern and turned out there wasn't anything to worry about. My advice would be not to do it. For reference, see BBT chart attached.
