Can’t figure out due date

I recently (New Year’s Day) found out I am pregnant. I don’t remember having a proper period since 31st July, I didn’t have one in August which is irregular for me as I have an average 28-30 cycle. At the beginning of September I took a test, around the 5th which was negative. That same evening I bled heavily with loads of clots (sorry for TMI). I figured I’d had an anovulatory period or maybe a chemical or something of that nature and pushed it to the back of my mind. The bleeding stopped that same night or the next day from what I remember. I don’t recall having a period in November maybe a couple of days spotting & December no period. Come New Year’s Day I felt what was definitely a kick & took a test. Positive. I have no idea how far I am and I’m fretting because I’ve been living as a normal person drinking etc not realising. Not only that my daughter was premature, I feel this could happen again and want to be prepared.

Get in touch with your GP, explain what has happened and they will probably send you for a scan where they'll be able to get an idea of the date. I had something similar with my 1st PG, although not as extreme (and definitely not feeling kicking), and didn't know if I was 8ish or 12ish weeks. The midwife felt my tummy and said she didn't think it felt like 12 weeks yet but sent me for a scan anyway to find out. I actually had a MMC so still don't know dates for sure but if you're feeling kicks you're further along than that!

Obviously a good idea to stop the drinking etc now but in reality the risks are pretty low. Better to find out what's going on.

I’ve told them, they sent my referral to the midwives yesterday and I tried to call the hospital explaining everything to see if I could speed things along. If not I may try to get a private scan.

If you've felt kicks, I'd say definitely get a private scan if you can because that means you're at least past 15 weeks

Yeah doctor has said the same between 16-20 weeks. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.
