Hi,

I'm 10 + 3wks pregnant with my first child and have absolutely zero clue about babies/children. My siblings don't have children and we aren't planning to tell friends for some weeks yet.

I'd love to buy a book to help with planning for the babies arrival, things we need to think about/buy etc.. as i find the internet a bit overwhelming sometimes and i would ideally like to plan from a book.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you

Congratulations! I really enjoyed A Perfect Start by Christine and Peter Hill. It’s really easy to follow and laid out in clear sections.

I bought "The Modern Midwife's Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond" by Marie Louise after a recommendation on here and really liked it!

I read Modern midwife pregnancy, birth and beyond for pregnancy and birth related stuff

Found First Time Parent really helpful for the practical side x

NCT website also has loads of info

The Pinter and Martin series *Why It Matters", small easy to read books but fully evidence/science based.

Why your baby's sleep matters
Why breastfeeding matters
Etc
