I remember our midwife showing us a trick rubbing our DD's tummy in a circular motion to get her to burp when she had trapped wind. It worked on me too.

Easy way to get rid of trapped wind is to lay on your back, and draw your knees up on to your chest and move them from side to side as far as you can. Do it for a couple of minutes and relax. It works !

I'm now 16 weeks and get trapped wind from time to time my go to remedys are warm bath, peppermint tea, hot water bottle, tummy rubbing and if all else fails rocking back and forth on all fours. One or a combination of these usually works.

Got it again tonight Sad currently sat nursing a peppermint tea! Have tried everything apart from a bath so that's next if the tea doesn't work xxx

You have my sympathy sometimes you just end up weathering the storm until it eases a bit. You can have things like windeze when pregnant so it might be worth having a packet on standby.

Hot water bottle or warm bath helps, laying in the fetal position, tummy rubbing in a circular motion (your right to your left) and going for a walk if you can. I suffer with it all the time and a lot of it is because of my eating and drinking fizzy water. Maybe keep an eye on that. Smile

I'm 22 weeks now and it's a lot better than in the first trimester. I've swapped the gurgling wind tummy for a wiggly baby tummy.
Congratulations on the twins much like buses you wait ages for one and then 2 come along at once.
My DD is 2 next month but she took 5 years and around of IVF and this baby took us by surprise.
