Lump in breast

Not sure if I’ve posted in the right topic?
DS was born 10 days ago, I only breast fed for the first day milk has finally dried up however I’ve now noticed a hard grape sized lump on the underneath part of my breast! Midwife thinks it could be a blocked milk duct, however it’s not painful and doesn’t move? Has anyone else had anything like this when they’ve stopped breast feeding or their milk has dried up? Obviously I’m thinking the worst until I can call GP on Monday!! Sad

I’m 22 weeks with my first but didn’t want to not answer. If the midwife isn’t worried I’d not panic too much.
But do call your GP and get it checked out. Hopefully someone comes along that has had this before.

@Lifeonmars12 congratulations! Thank you, trying not to panic but it’s so hard when you know you have to wait the weekend🙈

I’m almost 38 weeks and not experienced it but I agree that if your midwife isn’t worried then try to put it out of your mind until you speak to GP. Had a quick google and it says a blocked duct can be painless so that’s probably what it is

I had the exactly same thing. Mine was pea sized - had referral to the breast clinic. All was fine and it did disappear x
